Gov. Kathy Hochul is directing the New York Power Authority, which owns and operates two dozen power plants — mostly dams and gas turbines — to develop the new facility. The plans are still in their infancy: NYPA, a state government entity, has yet to pick a location or a design.

AllSpice’s platform is the GitHub for electrical engineering teams

AllSpice’s platform sits between existing workflow software. It allows hardware teams to collaborate on the types of documents they traditionally work in — documents that don’t easily translate over Slack and email — like PCB files and electronic CAD files, both of which are used to design circuit boards. AllSpice’s platform has landed customers such as Blue Origin and Bose and just raised a $15 million Series A round.
